My fiancée and I went back and forth about having a small band playing cover songs, a mariachi band or a DJ for our wedding reception. For us, it was important to have many different styles of music from different genres as we have an all-ages wedding coming up.
Erika and I have very strong personalities in how we live life but also in our music. Erika’s ultimate favorite band/singer ever is Dave Matthews Band, while my music legend is Michael Jackson. The fun part of this magical music life we share is finding new artists or learning about the old ones, which makes our passion for the arts even stronger. We feel a DJ will best symbolize the music we have grown to love as individuals and together while providing a smooth flow during the reception; creating romance, fun, laughter and ambiance for everyone who attends…not just the bride & bride.
Our wedding reception will host a most excellent “emcee” – DJ Jamie G of JG Entertainment. Erika and I felt that Jamie was a good match for us because he is able to wow the crowd by mixing hits old and new, while providing personal touches throughout the event. Luckily, he is a friend of ours and is now going to be a part of our wedding day celebration!
