I agree with Cicely, using the term “master” makes your new last name sound less important.

    Excellent post.

As a married gay man how do you feel about your last name being referred to as your “Master Name”? I think I prefer “Bachelor Name”… I just feel like “Master” sounds like a slavery term and being owned….

Ha,,,very nice wedding dress! It seems that this wedding dress is made of taffeta. Taffeta is a stiff crisp weave with a slight sheen that works best in styles that flare, and is particularly good for structured ball gowns or full skirts. It fits all the seasons. Sometimes choosing the right wedding dress is a problem for us.Thanks for sharing.

Interesting! Both of you got the suitable wedding dress. This traditional style of wedding is characterized by: fit of the upper body, waist tightened as well as the exaggerated full skirt. The waist line is just on the waist, or little lower, even near the breech. This wedding dress is suitable for plump brides. Choose long-sleeked style or V-shaped waistline will make the visual effect better.

Congratulations! I too lost some weight in 2009 after trying for years. So many people try to lose weight and fail, but you have shown that it can be done. I think other readers would be very interested in learning how you did it. It never ceases to amaze me how adults, when together in packs, resort to adolescent behavior, hurting others without any regard for their feelings. You, darling, had the last word. Kudos!

    Here’s how we did it:
While we were in Massachusetts we visited the Social Security Office. With only a drivers license (out of state was fine) and our marriage certificate we were able to change my name *federally* as long as we were still in a state where the marriage certificate was recognized. Then when we came back here to AZ all we had to do was show the MVD my new Social Security Card and our marriage license (now needed as proof of REASON for the change, not proof of the change itself). It was really easy! THANK GOD we got overly excited and went to the Social Security Office in MA. It wasn’t part of the plan, but made our lives much easier. . . and saved us the $300 AZ change of name fee. ;)
