Real Wedding :: Bill + Brian

This week is an extra special week of because we are highlighting the wedding of Bill + Brian. They are among the all powerful and simply wonderfully sweet event producers for Phoenix Pride and the Pride Wedding Expo. They shared with me months ago about their ceremony in Mykonos, Greece and I loved their creativity and there was no holding back on the apparel! Love it boys!

What a fantastic shot of them on a perfect sunset backdrop.

One of the things that Billy mentioned was difficult about planning their wedding was finding an officiant. Once they finally did things were smooth sailing! (Almost as smooth as Brian's legs! :))

This picture is so much fun as they look to be so excited about tieing the knot! Congrats you two and I look forward to hearing more stories about being MARRIED!

Here are a few other questions I asked the guys about their wedding day.

Event Date :: 07.10.08

Number of Guests :: 50 at Reception & 4 at the Wedding

Do you prefer to call it a commitment ceremony or wedding? Why :: Wedding, because in our eyes it was a wedding.

What was the first thing you did after you decided to commit your lives together? :: Booked a cruise!!

What was the most memorable part of your day? Sunset champagne toast and dinner with greek wedding cake at Cavo Tagoo in Mykonos, Greece.

Mi Familia Part 4 – Wishes Do Come True

Guest Blogger :: Erika

Dear Mrster,

In my blog, Mi Familia Part 3, my mom was starting to come around. My sisters became junior bridesmaids and my dad said he wanted to attend our wedding. I concluded chapter 3 in wonder…

Will my mother celebrate the happiest day of my life…with me?

Two days before the Big Day…guess who gave us a face-to-face R.S.V.P.?  Mom.

Visibly nervous, or as my wife says, "breathy," the sweet lady who birthed me not only said she and my father would be there, she asked for my assistance in helping her choose between two dresses a work friend loaned her for MY special day. From that point on, my wife and I were welcomed to discuss wedding preparation, day of plans, and I was able to share all of those special fun wedding planning moments with her.

  Although I wish that my 11 aunts & uncles with cousins in tow could have also shared in this joyous day, I was 100% elated when my dad walked me down the aisle…mi familia front row.

Good thing we ordered her a wrist corsage...

I still hear friends murmuring about my Mom’s enchanting smile.

Until next time…Live well, love well, be well! ~E~

Fall DIY

Guest Blogger:: Gina

I spotted these easy rustic centerpieces on oncewed.com, and fell in love with their simple beauty. As a wedding floral designer, I probably shouldn't be taking centerpiece work away from myself; but these are too pretty to pass up.

All images courtesy of oncewed.com

Made from cuttings from a fallen tree in the bride's yard, with candles, twine and wooden flowers. Simply gorgeous!

Celebrity Wedding: Mark Wahlberg and Rhea Durham Tie the Knot

Guest Blogger :: Sarah

Actor and producer, Mark Wahlberg, married long time partner and model, Rhea Durham over the weekend.  The intimate ceremony took place at the picturesque Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Beverly Hills.

With a mere 20 guests in attendance, the couple kept their special day low key, but unsurprisingly still managed to turn plenty of paparazzi heads.

Durham opted for understated elegance in her strapless Marchesa gown, while Wahlberg kept it simple with a clean and classic look.

Following the ceremony, the newlyweds headed back home for a small gathering with close friends and family.

I love how effortless the whole day feels.  For being show biz A-listers, their down-to-earth nuptials were anything but showy.  That's the way to do it, Hollywood!
